Happy Meals :)

Today has been quite the day.

I thought I had work at 2,
but I didn't actually work until 7.
So I had a nice lazy afternoon :)

Work was fun, I work the greatest people
which makes it fun.
This cute couple came in with their two daughters
and we got to talking and realized
that are in my best friend's ward.
He told me to call him by this name,
which was super weird....
Crowsjverho? Oh man.
So when Austin came in later
I called him that he immediately knew who
had come in earlier.

We talked for about two hours...
then I closed.

I grabbed a happy meal
which I haven't had in years
and then I headed over to his house.

We've just been talking and doing nothing...
He's gaming and I'm blogging.
Nerd Status? Yes :)

He's the greatest,
I'm so happy to has him as a best friend :)

She said that Blair Witch Project
was a pretty scary one....

Two hours of watching the movie and,
Nothing.

3 hours after that?
I finally went home.

It was for Bryant's older brother's wedding.
I went over and saw it
before all the pretty stuff was put on it
and then I followed them to the reception
and they put it together.
It was sweet,
and they put beta's in the
centerpieces...awesome??
Yes.

The reception was beautiful.
We talked and enjoyed each other's company,
and ate lots of frape's :)

This last week of work
has been an interesting one
to say the least...

Things happen when you work
everyday and close everynight.

Thank goodness for the wonderful people I work with.
Because without Hunter, Derek, Brad, Stacy, Brownie, Sarah, & Alex
....it would be quite awful.

I am deaf.
I seriously think that I am
partially deaf.
I have a hard time hearing things...

Here's just a couple things that I have heard:

"The cotton candy machine is stuck!"
"Babies in trees."
"Can I put syrup in that?"

A Story to Tell Your Friends - Every Avenue

NO PANTS POLICY

This is the LAC.
I went there with some tacos after work...
You know, just chillin' after close.

These last couple days have been so crazy.
I work. A lot.
But I sleepover at Jessy's. A lot.
It's basically the best thing ever.
We make midnight runs to Smith's
to get drinks and talk to her fellow employees.
We get ice cream
and Domino's pizza
and chocolate crunch cakes.
We talk to Colby
and he tries to talk us into
"three cuddlesomes."

Basically,
I love summer because
I can sleepover every night at my best friend's house.
I am so happy she's my best friend :)

Summer Sun - Jukebox the Ghost

Today was a great day :)
Lauren made some DELICIOUS chicken
so we invited over a bunch of friends
over and had dinner together.

We talked about missions,
cars, and college.

Then Austin and I decided to go to Paradise.
Paradise is out past Hyrum and before Avon.
So we drove past Hyrum Dam
and onto a dirt road...
just a little off-roading experience.

Since it was the 24th of July
and we're in Utah,
and aerials are now legal,
we saw a TON of fireworks.
They were being set off all over the valley.
It was so pretty with the sun setting
and color confetti-ing the sky.

We drove almost all the way out to Porcupine Dam
and then came back to Paradise.

I played at the park
and he walked around in his boot
[but no crutches this time]
and then we walked back
when the creeper man walked around the building
a couple times.

"It's ok, I've got my knife."
"Do you even know how to shut a knife?"

We finished off the 24th of July
stargazing in Paradise.
Literally :)

Tonight - Secrets in Stereo

Boys are dumb.
Actually one in particular.
Ok, I guess make that two.

So I decided to get out of Logan,
and go stay at Lauren's house.

We did NOTHING.
It was glorious.
We just...did whatever we wanted.
It's so much better then working, let me tell ya.

We went shopping
I got some new shoes.
and we got lunch and took some pictures
with dinosaurs.

Best part of the day?
"Well nothing rhymes with picnic." -Mama Clark
"Um, how about quicky-nic?" -Grandma

I don't really like makin plans.
So i just say whenever
we are up n ready.

When I woke up and was ready
I went over to Austin's
and we set off to Bear Lake.

We listened to Katy Perry,
Neon Trees, and He is We.

We talked about everything.
I love it when we spend time together
because he is the kind of person
that I can tell anything,
and I know that he won't judge me.

We talked about
religion, food, and the world around us.

We honked the horn
and lifted up our feet when we went over
the cow grates in the road.

We went to La Beau's
and I got a hamburger
and he had grilled cheese
with my pickles on it.

I got a raspberry shake
and he got a butterfinger shake
and we ate them at the park.

I ate mine with a spoon
and he ate his by
having it fall on his face...

We walked out to the beach
and talked about how beautiful it was.

We got my bracelet.

We drove home and watched a movie.
He and his sister tried
to brush Miley's teeth. (the chihuahua)

I L O V E D A Y S L I K E T H I S
where you get to spend time in the sun
with your best friend.
And laugh until you feel like
your body will rip apart
if you don't stop.

For Always, Forever - Every Avenue

This whole week has been crazy.

The Fourth of July was amazing.
But when I knelt down to take a picture
I knelt on a firework.
Thus, I have a nice burn on my knee.

It didn't hurt
so I brushed it off and it seemed fine.
Then I woke up the next day and...
it was not fine.

On Wednesday I went to the doctor.

Doctors are so much FUN.
Lauren came with me
and it was great.

The doctor made me sit on a table
and he started poking my burn.
Why thank you,
it's not like it didn't already hurt.

"Can you feel this?"
"Yep."
"Can you feel this?"
"Yep."
"Can you feel this?"
"...Kinda."

"Well it looks like a bad burn.
Just get in the shower and scrub it until it bleeds.
That way the dead skin will come off
and new skin can heal over it."

What great advice.
Since it hurts already,
without you touching it.

And then as I'm leaving...
"When was your last tetanus shot?"

I am deathly afraid of needles.
Example: Donating blood at USU.
We just won't talk about that.

So later that day I got a new tetanus shot.

Overall I'm alive.
No lockjaw for me.
(Thankfully, my tongue will be
INSIDE of my mouth for the rest of my life)

Just lots of triple antibiotic cream, iodine,
and ibuprofen.

Logan Canyon.
Such a beautiful place.

Around three on a beautiful Sunday Afternoon
we set out on a hike at a random turn off.

"It's a good hike with boulders and rocks and stuff."

We hiked/climbed up
the basically vertical mountainside
and got on top of some boulders
aka huge cliffs.

It was beautiful.
We climbed and talked
and just enjoyed life from the heights.

And then...
Austin sprained his ankle.
Or so we thought.

So we slid on our butts down the mountain
and made it to the car when we realized
that the only people who can drive stick are Austin and I.

Austin obviously can't drive because of his foot.
And I have been driving stick for 2 weeks...
and he knows how great I am at that.

So I drove us out of the canyon unharmed.
We got ice, pizza, and ice cream
and watched The Illusionist.

After I drove him home
and we talked with his mother for awhile.
He went to the hospital and found out
that he broke it in two places
and has to have surgery.
Fun times hiking :)

A couple monthes ago
LA, Jessy, Austin, and I
planned a trip to Jackson Hole
this weekend.

Needless to say, that did not happen.
So instead we went camping up Logan Canyon.
We worked that day,
then it took us forever to get ready....
so we ended up setting up our tent at 1 AM.

Yeah, that's wayyyy fun to do.

But we made it work.
It was a fun experience
especially when I woke up from
a weird dream,
started laughing,
and couldn't stop.

For about a half an hour.

Who needs sleep?

Malts, Milkshakes, and Bear Lake

Today was fantastic.
I got to hang out with Tate
which was....an adventure to say the least.

Then Derek and I went to Charlie's
for ice cream.
I got a milkshake, and he got a malt.
Malts....kinda weird.
Not gonna lie.
But milkshakes from Charlie's are AMAZING.

We then drove past the graveyard
and had this lovely conversation:

"There's a mailbox in the cemetery...?"
"Yeah that's so when you find body parts
you can put them in there for them!"

After we went to the park
and talked and played on the structures.
We sat down and looked at the stars
and then...we lost his phone.
After lots of hardwork
and a flashlight we eventually found it.

He left to watch a movie
and I texted Austin.

"I just can't count tonight..."

We decided to go stargazing.
He picked me up and
we got some snacks.

It wasn't until then that he said,
"I kinda want to go see Bear Lake."
So, at 12:12 AM
Austin and I set out to go look at the stars
up at Bear Lake.

Driving through the canyon at night with Austin...
yeah it's pretty entertaining.

"Those stupid trolls they just have big noses.
I'm going to run over their fingers anyways."

"That's right, just keep grazing on the side you deer.
When I come back I'm gonna go 30 mph so don't get any ideas."

We stopped and felt the snow in the canyon...
yep there's still snow up there.

We stopped and pulled out our blankets
and laid in the grass and looked at the stars.

"If you just look at the sky for awhile you can see this long cloud."
"Look you can see the Milky Way so well from here!"
"Yeah....that's what I just said."

We talked about the galaxies
and the fact that we're so small...

"No! Mosquito! I don't want any hickey bumps!"
[aka mosquito bites]

We made a quick stop at the marina
while Austin took care of his business...
and then we made the journey back through the canyon
and luckily didn't hit any deer.

"They're so nerdy...and happy!"

I love this boy.

We've been friends since 9th grade
and he's always been there for me.
For the 1 AM phone calls,
for the tears,
for the whenevers.

We spent a couple hours together today
and it was heaven.
It's great to be with someone who
know so much about you,
I can say something and he completely understands.

We just talked in my car
with the rain coming down,
and it was perfect.

I love these people.
So much.

Coming home, if only for a second
and being able to see them
puts my life back in order.

I would be so lost without them.
Without their friendship,
and their undying support.

Waka Waka - Shakira

Heartbreak.

We all go through heartbreak.
We go through the heartbreak of
watching our first crush play with
the other girl on the playground.
We go through the heartbreak of
not making it into the school musical.
We go through the heartbreak of
watching families fall apart and
watching natural disasters
tear apart a community.

There are a lot of
different kinds of heartbreak.
Tonight I experienced a
type of heartbreak...
and man it sucks.

I have a friend, and he's an amazing person.
I met him up at college
at the beginning of the year.
He has gone through some
pretty hard things in life.
Today we talked for about
5 hours starting at midnight.

We talked about what he's
gone through and his regrets.
His teenage years consist of
drugs, drinking, and a very low moral standard.
His life has been VERY different from mine.
Where I had love and support he had
peer pressure and people who
really didn't care about him at all.
It's hard for me to hear because
you can tell that he has gone through hard things
and I don't know how to be a comfort.
It's heartbreaking to see his perspective on life.

So this message goes out to him.

No your life hasn't been easy.
No you don't get everything handed to you.
No your life hasn't been a walk in the park.
But you are strong. So strong.
Never give up and remember
that there are many people that love you.
And a lot of people who will
do anything they can to help you, including me.
This world is a beautiful place.
Enjoy it :)
