TEMPLE SQUARE
2010

Today Reeve, Taylor, Brittany, & I
went to Temple Square.
I brought my hot chocolate
and we made it up there safely.

It was beautiful
and we did lots of fun things
like hold glowing sheep in our hands.
Then we walked down the streets of SLC
and went on dates
and modeled on the magnificent architecture.

After we went to Stephen's house and played
Just Dance 2...

We are all REALLY good and Just Dance 2.

Frozen Lakes, Skirts, & Smiles

I never thought that I would consider
33 degrees warm.
It makes me feel like I should be wearing shorts.
And so...I wear shorts.

Today I went to church
and then Heather & I
went to the lake :]

It is so pretty up our canyon!
I just love driving up there.
I've pretty much memorized
the way the road turns,
so it's the best feeling driving up to the lake.

After we went to Josh Quinn's farewell.
I took a seat with Heather
and Josh King came and sat with us.
Can I even tell you how much I miss him?!
So we tried to pay attention...
"I have no water at my house."
"He has the biggest butt!"

Josh's younger sister gave a talk
and his older sister sang
and then he gave his talk.
His talk was amazing.
And I'm not just saying that,
because I hate listening to farewell talks.
Good job Quinn :]

Today is ending with dinner at Channing's
and game night with his family and Tate's family.
Is there any better way to spend a Sunday?
Definitely not.

"I think we just drove through a lake."

You know those days where you look around
and just can't believe how perfect your life is?

That was how today was.
I had a great day yesterday,
which I spent with Sarah, Kaity, & Hunter;
three of the most amazing people that I've met.
Sarah-what can I say she's amazing.
I know I can trust her with so much.
Kaity just saves my life.
(you know what I mean Boofayy)
And Hunter is just the biggest nerd.
They feel like my family
and I would feel a lot more lost if they weren't in my life.

We had a crazy sleepover, stayed up way too late,
then Sarah had an interview in the morning.
When she got home
we decided to go to Hunter's Ward in Nibley.
Funny name right?
The sacrament meeting was...interesting to say the least.
It was the Christmas Music Program.
Yay for Haunted Mansion singing heads.

After we went to Sunday School
and I sat next to Austin,
I work with him and
I've gotten to know him and he's great.
Once again I left my scriptures at home
so we shared and the lesson was actually
really good.
It was one of those
"I really needed to be reminded of that" lessons.

After I went home and packed.
My dad came and picked me up and we drove home.
I love my dad so much.
I can tell him anything.
We had an interesting talk on the way home.
Thank goodness my dad is so understanding.

The day ended with a text at midnight saying,
"Let's go for a drive in the rain."
Love that kid.
Miss that kid.
And when he leaves...
well he'll be where he needs to be.

"Oh I can take him down."

We talked and he sang country
and at about two am I got dropped off
and went to bed.

I promise I will :]

"Can I have a Berried in Chocolate Smoothie and a Wheat Grass Shot?"

"The Best Christmas Pageant Ever"
performed at the Lyric in Downtown Logan.

My roommate Kaity helped out with it
and so I went today to see it.
It was a way cute story,
I hate that I haven't been that Christmasy this year.
I just finished finals
and all I care about is sleeping.
But I can't believe that it's in a week!

After Kaity had more practice
so I went and hung out with Sarah.

I LOVE SARAH HEIM,
soon to be SARAH GILLINS.

She is probably the craziest person you'll ever meet.
I'm gonna miss her when she's not my ra any more...
but she's getting married to a really good guy
so it's all good :]

We tried to catch a bus
which we failed at.
So instead we had Cup of Noodles.

"These taste like styrofoam."

We learned that hitting your reflex in your knee
with a remote is very entertaining.
As in we did it for about 15 minutes.

We decided we wanted to go get
pizza & jamba juice
so Hunter [the fiancee] came and took us there.

I love smoothies.
After we went and cleaned
their apartment.
After we came home
and decided to have a sleepover in Sarah's apartment.

We watched movies
and I ended up falling asleep during Edward Scissorhands.
When I woke up it was about 3 am.
Kaity was asleep
so Sarah and I talked for about an hour...
about everything.
Probably about you.
.....yeah probably.

"I sat up and it felt like I flew across the room!"

Christy Marie Butterbiscuits Walters

It came.

I am a horrible letter writer.
In general, I just fail.
My friend left on his mission last summer
and I've started about 3 letters...
yet they never get sent.

Well I finally sent one to Elder Eric Erickson.
I miss him soooooo much.
And today I got a letter from him.

Bren texted me and said that his letter was here
so as soon as I got home
I ran over to the Lundstrom
and used my mail key to open that precious box
and grab that white envelope.

Christy Marie Butterbiscuits Walters.
Yeah I guess that's my name.
I ran upstairs and opened it to find exactly what I needed to hear.

After some tears and Tongan sentiments
I went to bed.

Take your time - fun.

Hello Miss..... Jorgenson
Hello Miss Walters

Laur & I spent the afternoon with sixth graders...
don't worry, we're not crazy.

I hate Mondays.
They just seem to...drag on.
So instead of being home
Laur & I
went for a trip today.

We drove through the snowy canyon
and went to the mall then Heather's Class.

Sixth grade baby.
Man, I wish I was still in sixth grade!

"Hello Miss Walters."

Yeah I haven't been addressed like that....ever.
When I helped teach 3rd graders
they just called me Christy.

They presented words
and then we went out to recess.
I'm pretty sure that I'm officially short
because we were playing basketball with them
and they were towering over me!
All that I can say
is I definitely need to work on my basketball skills.

After we came inside and they got to ask us questions
until school was over.
They asked about our favorite colors,
college, and high school.

"Do you know Tyler Haws?"

And on top of that one of Heather's kids
drew this life size giraffe-
when I say life size I mean a 17 foot tall giraffe.
It's this sixth grader and he's amazing!

After we went and got some crafts
and we went to Heather's parents house for dinner.
I LOVE HOME COOKED MEALS.
We drove past Liberty
(which I know means nothing to you unless your name is Rachael)
and had a tour of Heather's hometown.
We had a delicious dinner of spaghetti
and cheesy bread
then raided the snack drawer and the freezer
for snacks.

Then we went and I learned how to make bias tape.
Now to those who don't sew,
you probably don't understand.
Long story short it's a lot of ironing...
we made about 500 feet of it.
You think I'm kidding.
I'm not.

We drove to Heather's beautiful home
where we passed where they're building a new temple!
She gave me a tour, I got to meet her dog Roxy,
and Laur and I drove home.
Good day Laur :]

Yes indeed sweetheart!

Elder Eric Alan Erickson.
Called to serve in the Roseville, California Mission.

Reporting to the MTC on December 1, 2010

There's a lot of things that I can say about this kid,
starting off with he's my best friend.

Dancing in your car to my disco mix. Ditching class to go to Beto's. E brake turns in the snow and going down Cedar Hills and running into the curb. Midnight at Beto's with Ariana. The New Year's Eve Dance. Eggnog. Throwing up Eggnog. Playing egyptianratscrew in your car after school until football practice. Going to your orhodonist appointment. Ditching school for IKEA with Trevin. Birthday cake burrito at the park....then on Rhylee's driveway. Halloween with your football games, you almost dying, watching Christine, and a haunted house. Football games #47. Your lucky orange band that you found on the ground and then you wore during every game. Our deck of cards with Grover's greencard and the whores number four. "Life happens". My birthday. Disco cd. Parties during summer. At the lake on the docks looking at the stars. Smurfing. Towers of three people in the pool. Dates up the canyon. Campfires. Vans flying through the universe. Your harmonica. Sitting outside the concert. Walking on the railroad. Snoasis on the roof. Seashells. Plastic plates. knives. 30 del tacos. The park with ian. "I want to go down the slide 100 times!" You are a slippery bathtub. Chupacabras. Being tackled to the GROUND. Rhownduh. Going swimming and hot tubbing with glow sticks. Bringing you ice cream sandwiches and Gatorade when you're sick. Blowing up 72 balloons for you. Breaking into your house and scaring your mom. Accidentally watching you kiss. Sitting outside of your house. Poetry. "Don't even think about dating him." Nasty Ice Cream. Driving around with me when I'm on Loratab. Driving around my block 3492386 times so I can hear the ENTIRE song. Your eagle project. "You can't even have a 5 minute conversation with him!" Would I approve? Yeah. Okay then. Driving up to the lake with creepers. Angel's Gate listening to Calling All Angels - it's epic. Seminary Class. Carving our initials. Sushi. Hockey at Kyle's. Failing at Rockband. Pictures on Suncrest. 10 degree weather with no shoes or coats.

Ninth Grade Baby.
Awkward Last Dances.
Miss you already.

So classes are canceled,
Bren's test is postponed,
and I went to brunch with Tony & Erin to Village Inn.

I have never been there before...
but now that's fixed.
Lots of delicious food :]

That night in the "blizzard"
I went to work.
Which was awesome since everything was shut down.
So thank you to Mark who gave me a ride.

Work was super exciting...
we listened to music.
And I had hot chocolate.

And driving home was an adventure of course
thank you Austin.

P.S. my favorite thing in the world?

Pictures in Gazebos.

Stephen and I decided to lick the pole.

I know you can't tell,
but Reeve is in the orange cone.

I drove home with Kaity & Taylor.
Which was super fun since the roads were slick.

I got home, threw my bags in my room,
and Taylor picked me up.

We went and had some girl talk
then picked up Reeve and went to the 3 story park.
"THREE STORIES?!" haha

We hung out there then Kohler's
then went to Taylor's house for waffles.

Then Stephen came over and we played pool,
then we went driving in the snow.
We drew on people's cars, made snow angels,
and licked poles.
To top the night off we bottomed out when we
drove through Taylor's neighborhood.

We watched Star Trek at Stephen's
and then went home.

I love being home.
