Family Day.

Family Day.
I love my family.
I've really missed my family.
Our ward invited them to come up
and have Sacrament Meeting
and a meal afterward.

The fact that I had been
partying the night before
and stayed up until 5:50 am
did make it a little hard.

I woke up and cleaned the kitchen
with help from my roommate Lauren
(she definitely bails me out ALL the time)
and got ready and went to church to meet them.

I walked into the cultural hall
and looked around.
I immediately saw my dad's head and his smile.
My heart just kinda melted, I've missed him so much!
I walk over there and Dylan wraps his arms around me
and doesn't let go.
Then Julie hugs me, then Shauna,
my dad, and mom.
Then Dylan decides to let go.

The meeting was really good
and the food after was delicious.
Then we came back to the apartment
and I showed them around.
We sat in my room and talked
and they met some of my roommates.
I was sad when they left,
but I get to see them soon
so it won't be too long of a wait :)

I loved family day
it was so much fun
to see everyone and their families,
my roommates have awesome families.
I went into the family room
and I just couldn't stop myself from laughing.

After all the families left
we just chilled.
But I was so tired
I thought that I was going to die.

But I stayed up because I had for a meeting for
Humans vs. Zombies.

I need to explain this to you.
Humans vs. Zombies (HVZ)
is a game where
you sign up online
and then you play a week long game of tag.
If you're tagged, you're a zombie.
And then you have to feed in the next 48 hours.
It's a campus wide game
and I signed up for it.

I went to that meeting
then went to Sarah's for
Sweet Sunday.
Cupcakes :)

And of course I stayed up way to late again
because that's what college kids do right?
Well I'm sitting in Laur's/Chan's room,
it's about 12:30 am
when the lights start to flicker.
Then they black out.
Of course I grab Taylor's hand,
try to get on the bed with her,
and totally fall off
while everyone is screaming.

We look outside - no lights.
It's a really eerie feeling
especially since there are always lights
out there from the other dorms around mine.

There's screaming
and people shooting other people with nerf guns
and guys runnning around with hockey masks on
scaring all the girls.

I went down to my RA's room
and she called and the power
was going to be out until morning.
Great.
So of course we pull out the bed
and sit on it and tell scary stories.
Perfect way to end my Sunday right?

in MVT.

So I bought my ticket 2 days ago.
I have been so excited!
Dancing is always fun,
and We the Kings was playing too!
I've already seen them twice.
They've got a special place in my heart ;)

So we go get in line,
the HUGE and FREAKING LONGGGG line
and we're just chillin' when I look over
and see Marissa!

I freaking love Marissa
with all my heart.
She's one of those very few people
that I can honestly talk about anything
because she pretty much understands my life perfectly,
since her life has been a lot like mine.
And so it was one of those
scream her name and run and hug her moments.
Oh how I love those.

She came with Maddie & Sara
and so we partied it up at the HOWL.
It was pretty crazy.
But not too bad.
We survived.
So after dancing our hearts out
we went to the We the Kings concert.

They come on at first
with skeleton masks on.
It was great.
The fire marshal stopped people from coming in
after awhile but there was a decent
amount of people there.

Since the last time I went to a We the Kings concert
I was with Heather of course I called her
even though she probably couldn't even hear me...
And I called MichaelAngelo
during Check Yes Juliet.

Pretty much after the concert
I ran into Steven & Grayson
and then I met up with becccadawg
and we went back to mvt.

We decided to go with these guys
to Mi Ranchito.
....yeah we don't know where it is.
So we're driving down main street,
turn around and we're heading back
when we realize that there's a cop behind us.

Well our driver has been
pulled over a couple times
so she's like
What's the speed limit?
and we're just like
calm down
and then the cop flips on his lights.
So all three of us hurry and put our seatbelts on
and Becca can't get her's in
when the cop walks up.
"The reason I pulled you over is...
you're head light is out."

Phew.
He asked us if we had a long way to drive
and we said no, just Mi Ranchito.

"Do you know where that is?"

He gave us directions,
asked about our night and the howl
and then he left.

Soooo scary.
We went to Mi Ranchito
then went back to those guy's apartment
to watch The Fourth Kind.
Good movie,
except the fact that we started it
at 2:30 am.
So around 4:30
I remembered that my family
was coming up the next day
and I need to clean the kitchen,
and so I went home.

Running back to my dorm
at 4:30 am
is kinda a scary thing to do...
So I called Kaity
and talked to here until I got home.
THANKYOU.

I was going to clean
but there were people asleep in our living room so....
I tried going to bed.

I walked down the hallway
and I see light glowing from under our door.
I honestly thought
that Brenn was being abducted by aliens.
So I opened the door and,
no aliens.
Just my computer moniter
with my x-ray on it.

I tried going to sleep
but that didn't really work.
The last time I looked at the clock
was 5:30.

Secret Valentine - We the Kings

"What are you 3 doing in there?"
"Christy wanted us to come with her."

College.
It's great.
I wrote an essay.
Took a test.
Did Astronomy Homework.
Did Nutrition Homework.
Went for an adventure with Brenna.
(Can I tell you how much I love her?! She's the best roommate ever!)
Didn't buy groceries.
Had KFC.
Got dressed for work.
Went to work.

I walked around Smith's in my "costume"
right before work
and I can't even tell you
how many people gave me weird looks.
Really?
It's the day before Halloween.
It's not like I'm carrying around a knife or anything.

Work was....an adventure as always.
Working with all boys means,
well it means I get corrupted.

Hunter, Brady, & Tony.
You are insane crazy people.

After talking about urinals
(I honestly have no idea why)
for about a freaking hour
we closed and Hunter drove me home.

We decided that we wanted to watch a scary movie
so we went to redbox.
Well since we didn't want to get a rated R movie
it proved...impossible.
We got this movie
about a girl and her brother
and they're stuck in a house
during a hurricane
with a wild tiger.
It was weird.

So we watched it with Sarah
and then at 2 am
I finally went upstairs to bed....
another late night.
Tomorrow's going to rock...

Today was great.
Becca's BFF Shelby came up
so we all went to the football game.
I thought that I saw Tate's aunt & uncle
so I went over to try and find them
and on the way I saw this girl from my class
and....she needed assistance.
So after I helped her back to her apartment
I realized that I had to leave for work already.

So I got ready and went to work
in the pouring rain.
It was super fun.

I stopped at the grocery store
and was walking in when...
Taten Colbert turned around.
He's supposed to be in Hawaii...
but he had a layover
so he came to see me.
But my phone was dead
and we just ran into each other.
Hahaha love that kid(:

Work was very long.

Pumpkin Walk.

We decided to go up the canyon
so Kaity and I went shopping.
Firewood $4
Really?!
It's just wood.

Pumpkin Walk was cute,
they set up scenes from movies
with pumpkins...
it's kind of awesome.

Then we went over to Brenna's Gparents House
where they fed us
pizza, breadsticks, salad, and miles (oreos).

After I was going to go to the dance
but I went to clean my room
and about 20 minutes after I got in there
I fell asleep.
9:30 ladies and gentlemen.
I'm pretty sure that's the earliest that
I've ever gone to bed in my college career.
And the glorious thing about it is-
I didn't wake up until 12 hours later.
I'm pretty sure
that has never happened to me before...
sleeping for twelve hours uninterrupted,
is my new favorite thing to do.
Ever.

I had about 20 granola bars today.
They were delicious.
I also had a pumpkin baby.
Don't worry we're eating it on Sunday.
(My roommates eat babies...)

I love these people.

We were going to go up the canyon...
but instead we went to a cooking class
in my r.a.'s room.

Then we talked her fiancee' to
drive us to Jamba Juice.
Well Hunter just got a new car
and we all piled in.
Sarah & Hunter in front,
Taylor, Lauren, Chantelle, & I in the middle
and Kaity in the trunk.
Hahahaha yep.
Kaity had a super fun time back there
especially since Hunter kept hitting his brakes
and you could hear her hitting the sides of the trunk...

We got our smoothies
and Sarah and I played the p game...haha

Afterwards we decided to visit work.

"Can I have a side of Cookie?"

"What?"
"Can I have a side of Cookie?"
"Uhm, he's kinda busy right now..."

I went to check my hours
and then climbed out the drive-thru.

"I'm not sure they ordered that..."

Then we came home
played egyptian ratscrew,
and watched a movie.

Glow in the Dark Paint Dance 2010

It's Homecoming Week.
Which means lots of fun (free) things to do.
Monday Night=Glow in the Dark Paint Dance.

We went over by the TSC
where they are just painting...on the road.
It's pretty great.

Then Mackenzie & I went over to the dance
which wasn't supposed to start for another 30 minutes
but when we got there they were already throwing paint.

Now picture this:
The HPER field.
Mackenzie & I in shorts.
Wind.
Freezing cold paint
being thrown on you by strangers.
It was so much fun(:

Number One the dance was sick.
We were up at the front forever
but it was kinda intense...

The dance was so much fun
but I had to go home
and write a paper that was due at midnight
so I got to leave the freezing cold outside
and change into sweats and finish my paper.

And yes i finished and turned it in
with about 2 minutes to spare.

It was a fun night
but getting paint out of your hair=impossible.

Screaming Infidelities - Dashboard Confessional

Such a fun dayy(:

First half of the day,
we were bums.
We did nothing.

We did happen to get locked out of our room.
That was fun.
So downstairs we went
to play pool.
Kind of.

Then Kaity, Cameron, & I
went to a haunted corn maze.
Good plan.
We had a million airheads
and we eventually found our way out.
But not before we were
chased by many scary things.
Clowns.
And then when the guy
with a chainsaw came after us,
I was dragged backwards and dropped,
with nothing between me
and the chainsaw man.

So here I am
sitting in the dirt
in the middle of a corn maze
with a man holding a chainsaw
coming towards me.
And all I can do
is sit and laugh.
I can't handle scary things,
but I just couldn't stop laughing.

Then Cameron came and picked me up
and we ran away only to realize....
Kaity is gone.
She just left us
when the man holding the chainsaw showed up.
No worries.

But we made it all the way through
the jungle maze
and went and grabbed some Wendy's.

Then my RA said that
we could come over and watch a movie,
so we showed up with
A Haunting in Connecticut.

Have you ever seen that movie?
Well I have.
And Rachael, Cameron, & I
held hands for pretty much the whole movie.
But I was like, "Oh I can handle it now."
Hahahaha
NOT.

So Bryce, Sarah, Kaity, Cameron, & I
can officially say that we survived that movie.

After it ended it was 1 AM and
we really didn't want to leave...
so we stayed and watched Remember Me.
