"They're so nerdy...and happy!"

I love this boy.

We've been friends since 9th grade
and he's always been there for me.
For the 1 AM phone calls,
for the tears,
for the whenevers.

We spent a couple hours together today
and it was heaven.
It's great to be with someone who
know so much about you,
I can say something and he completely understands.

We just talked in my car
with the rain coming down,
and it was perfect.

Waka Waka - Shakira

Heartbreak.

We all go through heartbreak.
We go through the heartbreak of
watching our first crush play with
the other girl on the playground.
We go through the heartbreak of
not making it into the school musical.
We go through the heartbreak of
watching families fall apart and
watching natural disasters
tear apart a community.

There are a lot of
different kinds of heartbreak.
Tonight I experienced a
type of heartbreak...
and man it sucks.

I have a friend, and he's an amazing person.
I met him up at college
at the beginning of the year.
He has gone through some
pretty hard things in life.
Today we talked for about
5 hours starting at midnight.

We talked about what he's
gone through and his regrets.
His teenage years consist of
drugs, drinking, and a very low moral standard.
His life has been VERY different from mine.
Where I had love and support he had
peer pressure and people who
really didn't care about him at all.
It's hard for me to hear because
you can tell that he has gone through hard things
and I don't know how to be a comfort.
It's heartbreaking to see his perspective on life.

So this message goes out to him.

No your life hasn't been easy.
No you don't get everything handed to you.
No your life hasn't been a walk in the park.
But you are strong. So strong.
Never give up and remember
that there are many people that love you.
And a lot of people who will
do anything they can to help you, including me.
This world is a beautiful place.
Enjoy it :)

Philadelphia - Parachute

Today was great.
First of all,
I had cookies at 10 am
so I knew it was going to be a great day.
Derek & I went for a walk
and looked upon the flooding river.
Yep, Logan is going to drown.

We had a good chat
and walked on the railroad tracks
and went to the Willow Park Zoo.

It's a great place.
We fed the fish and ducks
and saw monkeys and peacocks.

The pet rocks were my favorite :)

We had a splendid time
and right as we were getting into the car
it started raining.
Yay for thunderstorms :)

Today was fun :)
First of all,

I went into Walmart
and ran back to the music section
at a very early hour,
and the Walmart people
were having a powwow there.
I looked over the racks
and...disappointment.
I'm about to turn around when
my eyes catch a 9 letter word
and five dashing men on a cd cover.
I screamed.
And about 20 Walmart employees
(and I'm not even exaggerating)
turned around and looked at me.
So we made a quick getaway through the craft aisle
and when I was on the main aisle
one employees came up to me and said,
"Did you find the Justin Bieber cd?"
Heck no.
PARACHUTE.
Wayyyyyyyyy better.
Their cd...well I feel as though it has changed my life...

After work today
Sam and I hung out.
We went over to Sarah's
and enjoyed some of her delicious cookies
and we played with waterballoons...big ones.
HAHAHAHAHA :)

We also got to play with her baby turtles,
Seaweed and Shasta.
They're pretty fun...

Laur & I make the best team,

Today was an insanely crazy day...
we'll start at 1 PM
when I went to lunch
with Derek, Austin, & Adam.

There's this place called Firehouse....
and they make the best pizza ever.
Ok, maybe not the best ever
but it's pretty dang good.

I got:
Artichoke Chicken Pizza
Our creamy spinach artichoke sauce is
topped with fire roasted chicken breast, crisp bacon, fresh roma
tomatoes and green onions then covered with our special blend
of cheese.

It was so good.
We also split the Cookie Monster FH’zzookie.

Our famous Fh'zookie just tripled in size.
Any cookie you desire cooked to perfection served with mounds of
ice cream then topped with a glossy layer of caramel and chocolate
syrup.

Needless to say lunch was amazing :)

After we went to first dam
and fed the ducks.
We went to the bridge,
walked to the waterfall,
and took pictures in the middle of the road
in the canyon.
We're dangerous you know.

After Adam and I went to work
which was fun, of course.

Austin picked me up
and I changed
and went over to Sarah & Hunter's
for a scary movie....
not.

Apparently I SUCK at picking out scary movies.
Like....a lot.
But I blame it on Josh Quinn.
[I could tell a big long story here...
but I won't. Basically it's his fault.]
It was a pathetic excuse for a movie.
It's great when you're
in a room with 9 people
and they basically boo the movie for two hours.

We finished the night with Beto's
and my head finally hit the pillow at 3 am.
